A horrific week for wildlife. First, the #Trump administration announced the International #Wildlife Conservation Council. A farce made up of the U.S. gun lobby and hunting groups trying to make trophy hunting easier at the expense of Africa’s iconic wildlife. And now they’ve forfeited America’s leadership role in the fight against wildlife trafficking by lifting the ban on importation of elephant and #lion trophies.
