Today is a sad day for public lands, President Trump announced plans to reduce the size of Bears Ears and Escalante National Monument, opening the areas to drilling and mining. This is an ILLEGAL move and these pristine public lands and ecosystems need to stay intact and preserved. This is an act that will alter them irrevocably and it is important for us to think about who actually benefits here.
