Pangolin. This mammal is covered head to tail in scales! They lack teeth but have a long sticky tongue that’s perfect for lapping up ants and termites. When threatened, they curl up into a ball and the overlapping scales act as armor. Pangolins are considered one of the most illegally traded animals in the world. All of the eight species are considered threatened and two are listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List.
