One of the many valuable lessons I’ve learned from social justice is how to listen. And specifically to people that I’ve been taught to disbelieve and discount the experiences of for my entire life. The lifelong process of liberating ones mind from an oppressor’s mindset is essential to being a useful activist and to our full development as human beings.
