Photo @stephen_matera // Happy New Year! Wind scoured snow near Paradise in winter, Mt. Rainier National Park. This area gets hit hard by snow and wind all winter long. It receives enormous amounts of snowfall and is buried in snow for eight or more months per year. Sunny days in winter are rare at Mt. Rainier and I was lucky to be there on this sunny but windy day on a ski tour.
