Hey everyone, @jordan_robins here doing a take over for today. I am really excited to be sharing with you a selection of my favourite underwater images.
I am a 24 year old self-taught ocean wildlife photographer based in beautiful Jervis Bay, a small coastal town on the south coast of Australia.
This image was captured with my camera in an underwater housing and is called an “over under.” An over under is a style of underwater photography where you can see above and below the water, captured in a single exposure. Below the water is illuminated with a underwater flash to balance the exposure with the sky.
Above the water in the top half of the water is the sky bursting to life with colour from the setting sun. Below the water in the bottom half of the photo is a Common Stinagree gliding over the parallel lines of sand. The lines in the sand are formed from the continual rise and fall of the ocean.
