Last weekend was the award ceremony for the election of the athlete of the year here in my home town Erlangen. I was one of the 3 nominated athletes for my second place at the European Bouldering Championships last year. It was a bit of a surprise to win the award and be athlete of the year 2017! This was my 3rd time getting the award after 2010 and 2012. I wanted to thank everybody for their support, for voting and for the great evening! Special thanks here go to my two trainers Patrick and Dicki (now as well known as the @kraftfactory) for supporting me for almost 12 years now, training with me, coaching me and never getting tired of me. We've still got way to go ???
Congrats as well to @hce_u23 for becoming awarded as Team of the year and to Marie Graf for being awarded as female athlete of the year!
