干場義雅さんのインスタグラム写真 - (干場義雅Instagram)「昨年12月、スイスのジュネーブにあるヴァシュロン・コンスタンタン本社で、腕時計のムーブメントや装飾について、世界最高峰の時計技術を持っている職人の方々から学び、実際に体験をさせていただきました。ギヨシェ彫りと言われる繊細な装飾仕上げ。釉薬を塗ってから焼き上げて絵画のように仕上げるエナメル加工。腕時計の裏側やムーブメントなどにノミのような器具を使って彫金をしていくエングレービング技法。腕時計の内側に入っている心臓部のムーブメント作りからはじまり、外側の芸術的な装飾まで、この3日間で学んだ腕時計作りは、どれも非常に難しく、気が遠くなるような作業の連続でした。でも、なぜヴァシュロン・コンスタンタンの腕時計が世界最高峰であり、高額であるのかがわかりました。ヴァシュロン・コンスタンタンの腕時計を身につけることは、スイス人たちの誇りであり、1755年から連綿と続くスイスの時計産業と伝統文化や芸術を後世に伝えていくことなのかもしれません。ということで、スイス・ジュネーブ、SIHH取材最終日は、とても素敵なヴァシュロン・コンスタンタン・ジャパンのブランドCEO、ヴァンサン・グジェさんと記念にパチリ！今回は素晴らしい貴重な経験をさせていただき本当にありがとうございました。心より感謝申し上げます。 ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ Last December, I visited Vacheron Constantin headquarters office in Geneva, Switzerland, to learn directly from master watchmakers about the world’s best watchmaking techniques. In fact, I had the chance to experience them myself, including a detailed decorative technique called Guilloché. Also Enamelling, which is an art-piece-like way of finishing of glass fused to metal at high heat, and Engraving, which is an art of forming patterns on calibers and cases by dedicated tools. The watchmaking is everything from caliber, the true heart inside of mechanical watches, to adding artistic touch of finishing on cases, and every single step of the techniques learned during the 3-day visit of the watchmaking was exceptionally difficult and was absolutely stunned. But what I discovered was the reason why Vacheron Constantin is the world’s top maison and why their timepieces are expensive. It may be because Swiss takes great pride in wearing their watches and passing on the Swiss watchmaking traditional culture and arts to the next generation since 1755. That said, I concluded my last SIHH day in Geneva, Switzerland, with elegant Mr. Vincent Gouget, Vacheron Constantin Japan Brand Director, and we took a picture together!
