I am lucky enough to have my mother in town from Nepal during today’s march, and I feel a sense of humility and excitement when I think about the fact that I get to actively participate in this special moment while I have her.
My mother raised my siblings and I to have compassion and to take responsibility for our actions and our world. She was a single mother, and she fought vigorously to break her own glass ceiling, to have equality. I feel such honor to be able to stand at the march celebrating all of the women who teach me to listen, who inspire me, and who push our world forward.
