#metoo From getting power harassment or fired from a job for not flirting back, to being pinned down and forcefully kissed on taxis and elevators- it happens way too often and I’m ashamed of not being able to speak up when it did. I notice that these things happen a lot in Japan. Women are constantly being degraded by men and are having to face their struggles in silence while showing signs of respect in order to keep their place in social settings. I hope to live in a world where we can all feel equal and safe. I support this movement to share the damage I’ve gotten, and to ensure that I won’t let it happen to me, or anyone around me again.
