After tearing out three plus walls let’s just say... they were in #roughshape. But that didn’t deter ME!! They were awesome and we were KEEPIN’ them if it was the last thing we do. Well... literally. It was the last thing we did. @stevefordsgarage finished up on #construction that night around 1 am. And that’s when the #graveyardshift (shout out to @alexandraribar @spokenlikeasailor @erikallenusa) and I rolled in with a ton of different #floorstains and a very vague #gameplan. We literally just opened all the cans and kept adding different layers of stain on top of each other to get the very #NEWwood to blend with the very #OldWood. Around 4am we went home. Wondering what the heck we had just done and if it even worked. The next day we walked into the #dreamiest, #rustic, #perfectlyimperfect #vintagefloor. #Victory! The easy and safe way would have been to stain them dark. But I’m so glad we didn’t.
