#FeministFlashbackFriday | Diane Gelon left her graduate art history program and volunteered to help Judy Chicago research the 3,000 women who might make their way into The Dinner Party, and later became the project’s coordinator and tour administrator. Gelon helped Chicago train the other researchers and publicize the project via lectures in the late 1970s. When controversy halted The Dinner Party’s original tour, Gelon helped to mobilize volunteers and find new venues for the work, resulting in a crowd-funded, fourteen-stop, tri-continental tour.
