We have good news to share about our efforts against a grim disease. Cryptosporidiosis or “crypto” is an infectious form of diarrhea and particularly lethal in children of the developing world who are malnourished and/or have compromised immune systems. This photo shows our researchers from the #Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases who are working on a compound that appeared promising when tested in lab models of crypto. Based on their progress and the need for crypto therapies, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (@gatesfoundation) has stepped up to support further development of the compound. #GlobalHealth ?
