Throughout his career, Bowie’s fans created both serious and fantastical artworks about him. Some were made by professional artists, some by enthusiastic amateurs. Often based on album covers and promotional stills, these works, in all their forms and levels of creativity, were much beloved by Bowie. Saved and preserved in his archive, these works have never been seen by the public until now. In honor of Bowie’s love for his fans, we’ll be selecting and featuring fan art every Friday through the run of the exhibition.
