This rainy Sunday was spent waiting. I made chestnut pancakes and two big coffees for breakfast. Baked a cake (oranges and almonds, more on it tomorrow) and waited. Tried to challenge the greyness of the day and took some pictures, and then waited. Made a vegetarian broth, cleaned the kitchen’s mess, did some laundry, prayed… and waited some more. But the good news I was desperately waiting for didn’t arrive. All the waiting has left me drained and exhausted, so here are some pretty pink radicchios I shot last week in Padua, in Veneto region that is famous for its beautiful and good quality radicchio. Tomorrow is another day, and I have no choice to be hopeful and wait some more for that good news. .
