Today we divided 157 people from all 50 states and conquered Capitol Hill! I had the incredible honor of being surrounded by @lungforce heroes and families who all were advocating for change through our stories! I still can’t believe my first time in D.C. was to lobby for a cause I am so passionate about, lung cancer!! It’s a bittersweet connection for me because it comes from the deveatating loss of my Granmother... I now KNOW absence brings opportunities!!!! My grandmother was with me and my mother today, I felt her. My grandma always promised us she would visit us as birds. So today I carried her on my sleeve and called on her to inspire my voice to speak the words she can no longer speak. Grandma, it’s all for your glory and to honor your life.
