As she walked, she examined each eatery carefully, poking her head in to check out the confectionaries. I caught up with her taking a break on a small Brooklyn stoop. “Oh my god, I love Brooklyn. She is my heart I love her. She is my community. I get to see my own people owning businesses in my neighbourhood. She has so many stories. I have seen the neighbourhood change so much. Some good, some not so good. I moved away to Atlanta but I had to come back, she is still my first love.”
