This is the last time I photographed Roy, a 14 year-old English Labrador.

He was the constant companion of a dear friend who could always be found running navigation from the cockpit of a 1978 Ford F-100 that matched his color from time to time.

I once saw Roy drive a truck. No police reports exist or are needed to verify this claim as witnesses are plentiful should one need to be called to testify.

Roy’s mind was sharp and his love for hot dogs was insatiable. His hips not cooperating so much. He loved the beach, the crash of the surf and took a last run at it before he passed awhile back.
He is missed.
