Today's snowy weather has us flashing back to 2016's "Andra Ursata: Alps." The artist debuted a new sculptural series that transposed her earlier, obelisk-like figures into a towering artificial landscape that enveloped the gallery.
Inspired by stylized representations of natural landscapes—from indoor rock-climbing walls to the rocks depicted in Byzantine paintings—"Alps" flanked the walls of the gallery with craggy geometric forms jutting like crystalline growths. .
