During the twelfth and thirteenth centuries in North Africa and #Persia, many #ancient #Greek texts were translated and copied, and this is how #Classical knowledge was saved for future generations across #Europe. This early landmark work from 1309 AD draws on scholars Euclid, Ptolemy, #Aristotle and Galen, and covers various elements of #optics, the #physics of the eye, as well as light, #vision, #reflection & #refraction.
