@james_lucas is hard on himself. His desire for improvement constantly battles against self-doubt, a war we can all relate to. But watching James project Water Paintings this past week showed the benefits of a patient, productive mindset. He turned every fall into a learning experience. He adjusted beta and body positions accordingly. He didn’t give up or give into negative emotions.
At the beginning, James was unable to link individual moves. Yesterday he flowed through the sequence with style. He still had to try hard the whole way, surprising himself (and me tbh ?). But his effort and tenacity paid off.
It’s been a treat to see James’ improvement over the past year. Even though he sometimes doubts himself, his progress is proven with sends like these. I’m psyched to see where he’s at a year from now ?
