Bisket Jatra is celebrated at the beginning of the Nepalese New Year. One of the most festive places to observe this festival is in Bhaktapur’s Durbar Square, where a chariot with the god Bhairava is carried into the center of the city. A game of tug of war is held between two teams to see who can pull the chariot over to their side.
