Hanging out with Dan Cox, former President of the Specialty Coffee Association of America. It’s lovely to see one of the OG coffee guys putting his heart into a coffee nonprofit supporting women in coffee countries who have cervical cancer. In addition to being a total coffee bad ass, he cofounded @groundsforhealth. I am supporting it also. As you would expect, our conversation turned to mold toxins from coffee processing. He talked about how it is frustrating that coffee with enough mold contamination to be illegal to sell in Europe or China gets - to use his word – “dumped“ in the US. I fundamentally believe the US should have the same coffee standards as Europe, or at least some legal standards! #coffee #nonprofit
