Repost from the amazing @chefpetergordon ANZAC biscuits! Our jar is rapidly disappearing at The Providores and Tapa Room for anyone having tea or coffee here today. They were created by New Zealand and Australian women who sent them to their whanau fighting during World War One. Ours have some added sesame seeds and orange zest to honour the Turks at Gallipoli on whose soil so many of our people, other Commonwealth citizens and the Turkish themselves lost their lives.
