Okay this is a two part post because I ran the St Jude Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon today, and I’m thinking that deserves two posts! A quick story: last year I saw this picture of myself after our trip to Macchu Pichu in Peru, we had walked down the mountain really quickly, without stopping so we wouldn’t miss the train and my legs felt like jello, but in the pic I was standing so tall and proud! For some weird reason it was a reminder to me that I can do hard things, and not only that I am capable, but that when I complete something that seems too hard, despite the wobbly legs and sore muscles, and whatever other difficulties I have endured, it feels good, I grow, I gain something I wouldn’t have had otherwise. Well, that picture spurred me on to sign up for this half marathon back in January and today I did it! See next post ?‍♀️
