Jens Olsen and Veronika Jankovichoua stand at the brink of a deep moulin on Breidamerkurjokull glacier. This glacier drains the largest ice sheet in Europe and has retreated 2.5 kilometers since 1991. The dark bands make ash fall from Iceland's frequent volcanic eruptions.
