12 years ago I shot my first landscape photos in the Utah desert. I spent 3 hot months in Utah on some sort of soul searching mission, to see if photography was something I truly loved without the validation of my friends, parents, & girlfriend. I realized at the time i had never really spent much time alone. I remember stepping into a slot canyon pretty terrified but also thinking I was instantly going to create some beautiful image like those I had seen in magazines that would surely kickstart my career. Instead I got cold, wet, stinky, and took a few mediocre photos.
