E' una ricorrenza cruciale, per ciascuno di noi, è Il compleanno della nostra Repubblica. Con quel referendum, 72 anni fa, i nostri padri hanno optato per la sovranità popolare, hanno intrapreso una strada non priva di dossi e d'intoppi, ma che resta, sempre e comunque, la preferibile.
Il 2 giugno si rinnova dunque una conquista da festeggiare con gioia ed orgoglio.

It is a fundamental anniversary, for each one of us, the birthday of our Italian Republic. With that referendum, 72 years ago, our fathers voted for a popular sovereignty. They took a path not without bumps or obstacles but which remains, always and still, the preferable for us.
On June 2nd we renew this conquest and we celebrate it with joy and pride.
