In photography, documentary work and story telling in general, access is everything. I know this sounds obvious but you have to go where the photos are and be willing to face whatever that situation is. I feel lucky to have found a love in cameras early in my life, they’ve taken me to places and given me experiences that I most certainly would never have had in my life. Being behind a camera makes me feel insulated, quiets my mind and centralizes my focus, regardless of the situation at hand and the represented dangers. This may sound reckless but that’s really just the honest truth. Chasing storms is as adventurous as anything I’ve ever done, it’s head first into the chaos in search of documenting beauty in a very raw environment. It, like all adventure, is so polarized with quite beauty and high adrenaline moments.
