Mode makeup was created by mr. shu uemura in 1968 to free the “making of the face” from any inhibitions, and to develop makeup in a more imaginative way to extend the art. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of mode makeup, shu uemura atelier artists created their own artwork taking inspiration from mr. shu uemura's legendary mode makeup looks.✨? Today we’re sharing international atelier artist @yang_yuhwa’s interpretation of mode makeup. This “Flaggy”-inspired pattern is a symbol of the role that youth culture plays in guiding the rest of society. This look produced as a result of the reflection around creativity and sociability shows high-speed aesthetic of tire marks left behind on the asphalt.
