The Philippines puts 10 million metric tons of plastic waste into the ocean each year. I live in a U.S. town with an ocean beach, and I wonder how soon this stuff will show up on my beach walks. We all share the same oceans. Every single mussel in the world now contains micro plastics—mussels share the oceans with all of us as well.
