Someone actually posted a comment on my City the Kitty Advocate Facebook page and said her plastic surgeon told her that domestic cat maulings are common and she justified the “maulings” as a reason to declaw cats! She told a story about a young child who was in her plastic surgeon’s office because she was mauled by a cat after she tried to pet it. ????
Sigh.......... You just couldn't make this stuff up. ?
Please keep trying to respectfully educate vets and the public about the facts about declawing and why there are always humane alternatives.
We will get through to most of them... eventually.
