Backbends. Probably my favourite posture simply because of the way they make me feel afterwards ?
If you think about your day, we all ‘forward bend’ and compress the front of our body ALOT...sitting at work/school, in the car, while you eat, and even while you chill on the couch watching TV ?
Backbends counteract all of this.
They improve your posture, releases neck strain, allows your spine to decompress, helps to open your lungs and breath deeper, massages your kidneys to stimulate the flush of toxins, lengthen your hip flexors (which releases lower back pain) and also stimulates the nervous system which gives you an energy boost!⚡️
Time to lean back! ??? #backbend #yogatips
