But after having spent several weeks in their company ,I felt entirely safe around them, despite the uncomfortable knowledge that they could take me out without breaking a sweat (if birds sweat). The truth is, they are gentle giants with little fear from the world around them; the biggest threat they face is almost certainly automobiles: many are killed every year on roads that criss-cross the Queensland rainforest. #gentlegiants #cassowary #queensland
