Onami-ike Crater Lake is a crater lake with the highest altitude in Japan. The water surface has an elevation of 1241m (4071ft). It had a deep blue color due to strong acidity, but after the eruption of Mt. Shinmoe in October of last year, volcanic ash poured down into the lake, and the color changed to green.
