With bright skies, windswept clouds, and saturated patches of color, #bkmeuropeanart celebrates the First Day of Summer with a painting by French artist Eugène Louis Boudin. Boudin worked en plein air, or outdoors, to capture the freshness and immediacy of this tranquil beach scene on the coast of Normandy, not far from where the artist grew up.
