While the ecological importance of #Everglades National Park is easily understood, some people don’t get the allure of this South #Florida wonder. Photographer Andrew Slaton describes his attraction to the park like this: “A lot of people don’t ‘get’ the Everglades or why I love it here. It’s humid, full of mosquitos ... it’s a 1.5 million acre swamp. For me, it is the convergence of water and sky. And it’s full of nearly every critter I love to observe: bears, panthers, bobcats, alligators, crocs, snakes, lizards and birds galore.
