I've always been a big advocate for getting off the beaten path and exploring on your own. One of my favorite things to do is to track animals by looking for signs such as scat, claw markings, sounds, and more. If and when I am successful finding the wildlife, I always like to get down on their level, as low as I can go sometimes! As I saw this black bear meandering along, I got as low as I could in the high grass to not appear as a threat. The bear came a little closer and proceeded to lounge across this fallen aspen as she watched me. There's nothing more I love then finding these peaceful and special moments out in the wild!
