BOON- Sept 1994 The Original Ranger Steel Cap Boot- as featured in the September 1994 issue of Boon Magazine. From the archive we keep in our studio which spans back to our beginnings. Boon Magazine was a leading Japanese publication that began in 1986. By the 1990's, the magazine was at the top of it's game, playing a huge role in championing the vintage trends and Harajuku style. It was also one of the first to bring the Japanese Denim trend to popularity across the globe, and sparked a phenomenal interest in sneaker consuming and fanculture. At it's peak it had a circulation close to a million. Sadly, by the time the internet had fully matured to how we know it to be now, the magazine ceased printing in 2008. It has since rebranded as a mens mag for 30-40 year olds, by new Editor-in-Chief Ichiro Yamaguchi- who has been with the brand since 1995. The idea was to attract all the original 20-year old readers from Boon's heydey, who will now be in their 30-40's. The first, new-era issue took the 90's as a central theme and saw Ryoko Hirosue, a recurring cover star, take to the front once more in order to capture the original audience. The timing for us to reflect on this archived edition is perfectly fitting. The Original Steel Cap Range saw a massive demand in Japan in the 1990's especially- and today the range has been restocked for a new era. But still the same, Authentic, British, Subculture Inspired Boot. You can find yours or see the whole Original Steel Cap Range, online and instore. #UndergroundEngland #UndergroundShoes #Undeground #SteelToe #SteelToeBoots #SteelCaps #SteelCapBoots #LaceUpBoots
