I would have been way too intimidated by a 451 page book, to even consider checking it out. And honestly, I had to stop myself from asking her “Are you sure you want to tackle that one?” That’s probably been one of the best gifts of this parenting gig, seeing that what I say has an impact. And because of that, I’m super aware of the negative self talk I have. Out loud, I’m able to keep it in check, but I’m still working on the internal dialogue. She returned the 451 page book to the library today, btw. And is looking forward to the next one in the series (when it’s back in stock) ?? #kidsreading #summerbookclub #librariesrock
