Good morning! Happy Sunday! By now you probably know that every Sunday I donate my social media to my @YearsofLiving team to talk about carbon pricing! This week's post comes from Amanda, a student at Dartmouth College. YEARS and Our Climate are organizing a national climate solutions contest, as part of the upcoming Global Climate Action Summit, and her post invites people to participate. “My name is Amanda. I'm a student at Dartmouth where I've learned a lot about the impact climate change will have during my lifetime, and different ways we can fight against it. I've been keeping an eye out for opportunities to get involved in the environmental movement and was excited to hear about the Global Climate Action Summit.

The Global Climate Action Summit is coming up this September in San Francisco. It will be a space to discuss solutions to climate change. I'm a fellow with Our Climate, a nonprofit that works on mobilizing the generations most impacted by climate change. Because we think young people hold the key to solving climate change, we're holding a contest to send someone to the Summit.
Anyone ages 18-24 can apply and share their idea for a chance to go. I believe that putting a price on carbon is the way we will fix climate change, so I'm brainstorming different carbon pricing policies for my application. I hope you'll submit something too!
