I made this Capital Gain screen print in 2015 to showcase the disproportionate amount of government breaks and subsidies received by the powerful oil and gas industry. The need to fund new, renewable technologies, should be obvious when the rapidly depleting oil and gas sources become more difficult and dangerous to extract each passing day. The only reason the government subsidies are so disproportionate is because of the massive power the dying oil and gas industry still has.
As a Californian, I’m hopeful for action now by our leadership. Governor Jerry Brown it is time to get Big Oil money out of California politics! It is your last chance to put the needs of Californians over the greed of oil companies.
