Przewalski’s horses are endangered and almost went extinct. All the P-horses alive today are descended from 14 individuals. Our scientists study the behavior and ecology of P-horses reintroduced to the wild with the help of GPS tags. This year in Hustai National Park in Mongolia, where the horses are native, 35 foals were born and 28 survived their first critical months. That’s a good sign for the species and the steppes it lives on!
