Photo by @florianschulzvisuals | A few years back, I made a little short film about nature photography. I called it “Chasing The Light”. In a way, this has been the story of my life as a photographer. When you work as a photojournalist, it is all about the story that your image tells. In the art of nature photography, the light can becomes the story.

When you look up the Greek roots of the world “photography” its meaning translates close to “painting with light”. In my opinion, this image of a brown bear sitting alongside a salmon stream in Alaska brings this meaning of photography down to the point. It is just lines painted by light.
