Photograph by @paulnicklen // Two years ago, while heading up the coast of BC towards the Great Bear Rainforest we came across this eagle that had crashed into the sea. It was over a mile offshore. Several other eagles were dive bombing and attacking it. It wasn’t going to make it as the the cold ocean currents were strong and it was being carried further out to sea.
