Photo by @magnuswennman | Mr Fukushima, 41 works as a manager at a traditional capsule hotel in Tokyo where stacks of small rooms are intended to provide sleep accommodation. This old and busy hotel in Shinjuku hosts mostly single male customers. Some use it as their actual home and even get their mail to the hotel.
The capsules are tiny with only a curtain to cover the entrance of the capsule. There is a public bath and a tiny relax area. The walls are stained from cigarette smoke and the entire place have a hue of yellow and green from the carpets to the walls to the leather chairs.
