Flamingos, what’s not to like? These resilient birds are among the oldest living species of birds on the planet, estimated at 50 million years old. Their beautiful pink and orange feathers are a direct result of a diet high in carotenoids ingested through shrimp and crustaceans. There are 6 species of #Flamingo on the planet, this one here is a lesser-flamingo that I photographed in South Africa. Thank you to my good friend @arjandekock for taking me to this spot ??
