数々の伝説を目撃してきた音楽の街の生き証人がいる店

音楽の街・下北沢。
1982年創業のレコード店「フラッシュ・ディスク・ランチ」の店長・椿正雄さんは30年以上にわたって、この街の伝説を目撃してきた生き証人と言っていいだろう。
店内を見渡すと、そこかしこに有名アーティストのサインがずらり。
「やたら熱心にディグってる二人組がいるなぁって見てたら、実はそれが日本の伝説的なパンク・ロック・バンドのヴォーカルとギターだったりとか……そういうことはしょっちゅうですよ（笑）」。
近年、レコードの人気が再燃していることもあり、若者や海外からのお客さんも多いらしい。この先も下北沢の音楽シーンの守り神的存在として末長く続けていってほしいと願うばかりだ。

FLASH DISK RANCH / Town of music, Shimokitazawa. Mr. Masao Tsubaki, a manager of the record shop "Flash Disk Ranch" founded in 1982, is a living witness who has been observing the legends of this town for more than 30 years. Overlooking inside of the store, you’ll find numerous autographs by famous artists. “I was wondering like, who are those two guys digging the vinyl records so enthusiastically? Then they turned out to be the lead singer and guitar player of the legendary Japanese punk rock band. Here this kind of thing happens all the time(laughs).” Because the analog vinyl is making a comeback in recent years, the shop is attracting more customers of younger generations and foreigners. We sincerely hope that he will continue for many more years as guardian-angel of Shimokitawzawa’s music scene.
