I have never been prouder of a cover story than I am of this one. Today of all days, when there is so much to be critical of and angry about, I am grateful to pause and appreciate what we are building. Despite everything, we are joyful and continuing to create the world we want, sometimes just for an hour or day, sometimes just in certain relationships or spaces, but we are creating nonetheless. Thank you to @PORTER magazine for taking a radical step in celebrating community and launching not just one, but 4 covers featuring 17 leaders. To the hundreds of @modelactivist leaders, thank you for showing me just how much is possible. In the words of Buddhist monk and teacher Thich Nhat Hanh, "[When] we have the same concerns, the same desires, and the same future...there is no longer a place for jealousy, because we are all faithful to the same aspiration.
