During my time in India working on @ナショナルジオグラフィック photographic essay on Bollywood, I passed a mother while she gripped her son's arm, leading him past a trio of Bollywood stars looking out from a tattered poster pasted to a concrete wall. In India these three Bollywood actors, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, and Shah Rukh Khan were revered as gods to their movie going public.
